I need to remember this, about marginalised/”odd” identities in general.
People often will ask you to define them. To describe them in a way that is “acceptable”, that makes sense to them. You can’t always do that, and sometimes, you can spend so much time doing it that you start to doubt, too.
But your identity deserves better.
